I am using another model which only got a wireless hand mic. I’ve experienced a defiency. The mic is of directional type. Audio is clear and sharp when speaking to it directly. But speaking audio from surroundings cannot be received by video cam.
Hinted from your demo, I would also try to experiment to add a dual mini jack with one additional mic to improve the situation.

I’ve tried to add a dual mini jack but failed. My cam did not recieve both incoming audio.
I would look for an “Omni-directional mic” and try.
